So how do you make it as a male in the porn industry? - Lets face it, if there's one place where men are most definitely second class citizens then it's the adult sector.

Yes, men own many of the production companiens and distribution outlets - but the proliferation of amateur model sites has seen many entrepreurial female models plough their own furrow as it were...

So if like me you're a comparative newbie what steps can you take to make sure you get some work?

Well firstly I would suggest you prove to people you're noy one of the many hopeless dreamers and timewasters leaving models and producers frustrasted all the while.

Make sure you really want to do it for a start. Being in a porn film is not like having sex at home.

Usually there's a sweaty guy with a camera just inches from you and if the films worth it's salt there'll also be lights, which beat down on you, making you sweat even more than normal.

Also you'll be under some form of direction so that you'll have to make sure that you give the client's value for money.

You won't need a year at RADA but it's very important to keep your elbows out of the way of the lens when the cameraman's doing a blowjob close-up

Most importantly you need to able to get a hard on and cum when the time is appropriate.

If you're able to do it more than once during the duration of the shoot, them all the better.

While I've not got the looks of Brad Pitt or the equipment of Jon Holmes, I've done ok on the shoots I've been in.

Proving your mettle is important, but how do you get the chance to do this.
