BACKGROUND

I trained for the stage as a classical dancer and turned to photography following a career threatening injury over twenty five years ago.

I first worked shooting tests for two model and dance agencies, and was the UK's highest grossing fundraiser for Photo Aid (part of Live Aid / Band Aid). I moved much more to commercial advertising graphics work in print and online in 1994.

I have now returned to what I enjoy most - shooting people who know how to perform in front of the camera. I am fully conversant with classical ballet technique.

I have extended my home to including a small fully equipped studio with easy access from the M23, M25, M27 and M3 motorways and main line stations and I have a fully portable studio which easily fits in the car boot.

I hold £2m public liability insurance.

INFO FOR MODELS

This note especially applies to models to whom I offer test shoots and TF. My current model no-show rate is over 60% for test shoots and TF. PLEASE PHONE ME (NOT TEXT) in good time if you have a need to cancel the shoot.

Most of my work currently is calendars and advertising material plus dance photography for a variety of clients and artistic / erotic / fetish / glamour / adult nude for publication, and I particularly like working with classically trained dancers, although that is not a requirement. I can easily travel to location work throughout the southern half of the UK, northern and central France and Benelux. I regularly visit the Haute-Vienne department of France, and I speak almost fluent French.

If I am going to work with a model, I expect as much professionalism from you as you would expect from me. I respect my models and I hope that is evident from the testimonials models have given to me (see username bdfoto on Purestorm and Net Model). I expect you to communicate with me over shoot requirements, be prepared, arrive on time, but still have fun. I normally shoot 50 minutes and take break - we both need it. I welcome chaperones although I find most experienced models do not expect to have a chaperone present. All I do ask is - please, not the boyfriend, unless you have asked me in advance!
